Patterson Comes to the Aid of
County Employees Hit Hard by Rising Gasoline Prices
Pontiac, MI, May 22, 2008 Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson
announced today that he is seeking approval from the Board of
Commissioners for a four day, 40 hour week to help employees cope with
rising gasoline prices which have reached $4 per gallon.

House is holding up property tax
relief bill
Senate Majority Leader
Mike Bishop today called on House Democrats to transmit House Joint
Resolution III to the Senate for consideration. House Democrats allowed
a vote on the resolution on Thursday, which passed unanimously, but have
since refused to transmit the bill to the Senate, disallowing any
further action.
