Rocky Raczkowski is running for the U.S. Congress in Michigan’s 9th District as a champion of the hard-working families and taxpayers of Michigan. He opposes the attempted government takeover of health care, shameful and corrupt spending, high taxes, and the assaults on our culture and heritage. He believes America’s national security and our individual freedom depend on military might that is second to none – and he thinks terrorists should be treated as terrorists.

Rocky’s campaign principles are:

·       Cut taxes and spending to restore prosperity and create jobs.

·       Reduce the size and scope of the federal government.

·       Strengthen and support the world’s most powerful military.

·       Preserve, protect, and defend the U.S. Constitution.

Rocky grew up in Farmington Hills – in the heart of the 9th Congressional District – where he graduated from Harrison High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and psychology at Eastern Michigan University, and went on to Master’s studies while serving in America’s armed forces. In 1998, while serving in the Michigan legislature, he earned a law degree at Michigan State University.  Rocky is fluent in three languages and conversant in several others, and he believes in a life of learning and service to others.

A Major in the U.S. Army, Rocky served most recently in the Horn of Africa as part of Operation Enduring Freedom – where he earned the Bronze Star for meritorious service during combat operations – completing his third overseas tour of duty in September of 2009.  His military service is complemented by three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives – where he served as the youngest Majority Leader of any state legislature in America – and his current service as a successful business executive.
