Lauren Gervason - Secretary

Lauren Gervason, also known as "LG",  was born and raised in Oakland County.  She currently resides in the Birmingham - Bloomfield area.  She attended Seaholm High School.  Lauren earned her BA in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University and her J.D. from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan.

Lauren first got heavily involved in politics in 2002 when she started working for Congressman Joe Knollenberg and continued to work for him until the end of 2008.   Lauren has served as Sheriff Michael Bouchard's Deputy Political Director and Director of Volunteers on his 2006 United States Senate race.  In 2007, Lauren worked as Governor Mitt Romney's Deputy Great Lakes Finance Director on his 2008 Presidential Campaign, where she assisted in overseeing the fundraising in the Great Lakes Region, which raised $7M for Romney for President.  Lauren went back to aid Sheriff Bouchard during his re-elect campaign for Oakland County Sheriff in 2008, serving as his Attorney and Finance Director.  Lauren has also assisted in the campaigns of Lisa Bouchard for MSU Trustee, Scott Romney for MSU Trustee, John McCulloch for Drain Commissioner, Danialle Karmanos for Wayne State Board of Governors, and John McCain for President during the 2008 cycle.   Lauren then served as the Finance Director of OCRP during the first half of 2009.  She left in July 2009 to serve as a Finance Director and Legal Counsel to the gubernatorial campaign of Rick Snyder, where she covered more than 70 counties in Michigan, raising over $12M.

Besides politics, Lauren enjoys travelling, reading, cooking (and giving most of it away to her family and friends), playing tennis, volunteering, and her Airedale Terrier dog, Heston.
